In 2 months as part of a conservation project here i will be traveling to the north eastern part of Thailand where i'll have the chance to explore and study the habitat of these wild betta smaragdina guitar a sub species of the Betta Smaragdina. Their spider web like tail pattern is truly beautiful.

I felt bad and took this beat-up 1" juvenile red devil in from the local buy & sell. Six months later, he's healthy, interactive, and one of my favourite fish. Good on the original owner for reaching out instead of taking him back to PetSmart!
