Weekly quick asks thread - July 17, 2020 Posted: 17 Jul 2020 06:11 AM PDT Here is the place to post questions about pest ID, coral/fish ID, your cycle, or any other questions that generally wouldn't start up a conversation. If you have an interesting or unique question please create a new thread so everyone can discuss it in length! These are some great resources for ID's of pests/algae. [link] [comments]

Posted: 17 Jul 2020 09:58 PM PDT Today I got 8 Nassarius snails and 8 Astrea snails. I just fed a mysis cube and everybody went into their usual feeding frenzy, and I noticed my Emerald grabbed one of the Nassarius and tried to pull it out and eat it. I'm not sure if the feeding itself is what made him act like this due to smelling food. Luckily the Nassarius retracted and survived, but I'm really hoping this won't be a problem. From everything I've read, Emeralds are supposed to be peaceful. He's never attacked my shrimps or anything, so this is the first time I've seen him do anything like this. [link] [comments]
