150g CDA peninsula coming along, the tank is full blown sps, it's going to take a bit longer to fill in, but it will be worth it.

Patience is key... Right? Waiting for some more goodies to arrive. Anyone know nuvo 40 and use a AI prime 16?

I’ve got 4 montipora digitata frags, three of which don’t fully extend. they used to all have great polyp extension. they extend almost fully at night and are all still growing very well. other corals including acros are also doing well, fully extending and growing.

[Feedback/Opinions] Red Sea vs Planet Aquarium vs Waterbox?

Posted: 27 Jul 2020 05:27 PM PDT

So the TLDR is I am looking for a tank roughly 47" x 20" x 21" and so I have narrowed it down to RedSea Reefer 350, Planet Aquarium 48" x 20" x 21", or the Waterbox 130.4

Does anyone have any feedback on them? I have been doing a lot of research into them but am getting bad vibes from RedSea with quality issues. I am not trying to spend any more than like $2,500 on a tank and stand though.

For shits and giggles I also put in a quote to Reef Savy but expect them to come in wayyyy over my price.

New Bubble Tip Anemone Owner

Posted: 27 Jul 2020 11:09 PM PDT

This morning (6/27) I bought a bubble tip anemone. My tank has been established for some time, water parameters are good, and the two corals I have are growing well. I drip acclimated the anemone for about 40 minutes. I placed the anemone in a medium light and flow area. I knew they have the tendency to move. Throughout the day mine worked its way into a small cave in the back of the tank. Before I went to bed I checked again and the anemone was in the back cave area still. Is this just normal moving around behavior? I've heard a suggestion to turn the filter and power head off and replace him tomorrow. Any advice or suggestions please let me know.

Is it just me or...

Is it just me or do any of you just feel like selling all your coral and just keeping a FOWLR tank from time to time? I don't know why but I'm at a point where I almost don't care as much as I used to about my coral (but they're still in good shape!)
