- Help! Just noticed this lump last night. Is it a tumor? He was a feeder fish and I got him 4 years ago to cycle my tank. He is eating, swimming, alert and fine. He was bullied a couple of days ago and I'm thinking stress kicked in. Water parameters am 0 nit 0 nitrate 40ppm ph 7.5.

AN ich treatment that DID NOT kill any of my fish Posted: 22 Jul 2020 09:05 AM PDT Though a lot of Ich treatments tell you to warm up the tank DONT if you do there is a good risk that you could " hurt " the fish. Just buy aquariam salt ( even if it is a fresh water fish ) and an ich treatment The time to wait with the treatment is usually thirty days ( with out heat ) and Dont quarintine the fish becauase if 1 fish has ich it is most likly all of them do i lost a fish when i quarintined her I hope this helps you i am kinda new her and i just want to help :) [link] [comments]
Posted: 22 Jul 2020 11:05 AM PDT Hi everyone, I'm pretty new to the world of fish keeping outside of bettas. I was thinking about starting up a goldfish tank. I'm leaning towards getting a black moor or telescope in a 29 gallon, but was wondering if it would be safe to add one more? I've read that goldfish can be social creatures, but if 29 gallons is too small for 2 would just one live a happy and healthy fulfilling life? If he's sad alone, what kind of other fish could I keep with him? I don't want to have to do any tank upgrades after I set it all up, so is this an adequate amount for one to live his whole life in? I would of course cycle the tank once I got it, but I'm trying to make the best informed decisions so I won't have to do too much in the future. I just want everything done and out of the way before I get the fish :) [link] [comments]

Fungal infection? Please help! Posted: 22 Jul 2020 08:57 AM PDT About a week ago, I noticed a white fuzzy looking growth on my goldfish's top fin. Over the weekend, I went to the pet store and got Waterlife whit spot and fungus treatment (malachite green and copper sulphate) and aquarium salt. I have been treating with the fungal treatment for 4 days now and have added 1 teaspoon of dissolved salt into the tank. Yesterday I gave him a salt bath. But its only been getting worse! The white growth has spread along the top fin and now he has 2 white dots on other fins. Nothing has changed in his tank, I do weekly water changes of about 30% and have had him 3 years. He doesn't seem to be in distress or changed his attitude at all. Any help is much appreciated. Thank you x [link] [comments] |
