Anyone keep Signal Crayfish as pets?

Posted: 28 Jul 2020 01:40 PM PDT

I caught an absolute chonker of a Signal Crayfish along with a decent sized Red Swamp Crayfish which we put in our new tank.

Couple questions - from the majority of posts here it seems most people carry more exotic species (I must admit the blue ones look amazing). But does anyone else keep Signal Crayfish as pets? Any particular tips for this species?

The one I caught is also rather 'dirty' with a bunch of algae or whatever growing on its shell, as the stream I caught it from wasn't super clean. Will this go away after a molt?

help with crays!

hello! i found this sub after deciding to take care of 3 ghost crayfish, i'm about 2 weeks into taking care of them and they seem to be doing well besides the fact that they're eating less and less.

Is this a problem? i've been giving them about 2 palettes of Hikari tropical Crab Cuisine a night according to general guides but i'm not sure if they're being over fed;-; they used to jump at the food but now they barely look at it when it falls + don't eat

any advice or experience if this is normal? thank you :>

( water ph is good too!)
