I am a newbie to this hobby ( I do own aquariums, though) and I want to catch a crayfish and put it in a 14 gallon tank

soI have this 14-gallon aquarium, no one wants I will go to lake Tahoe (49 miles from my house)and catch a crayfish and put in the tank with 7 gallons of the water from the lake and sand, I am totally new to this, the crayfish at lake Tahoe are signal crayfish.

I have a question. Since I am relatively new to crawfish keeping, I got a various amount of different food, such as chichlid pellets and freeze dried shrimp. Any other recommendations?
