Hello! I am new to owning Crayfish and would like any tips experienced owners have. I did a lot of research before settling on them and purchased two juvenile cray fish with there own separate tanks (20 gallons each) just to be on the safe side since they are territorial. One is blue and the other white. The white one was already injured in a previous tank and. Is missing a few legs! I am already aware they will grow back in a few molts. Not clear on their genders yet. I have named the blue one Miso and would love gender neutral name suggestions for the white one. Any advice would be lovely! Thx!

I really need some help with my Crayfish (buckle in, this one is a long one)

Hello, i'm at wits end. ive had this will kind of mystery crayfish that came in a feeder fish stocking at my local Petco, it was eating the fish so they gave it to me. I already had an electric blue so i had basic knowledge on how to care for them. I got him a whole 10 gallon with a med filter all to himself, he tore apart and ate any plants i put in and he was extremely active. after a while the tank started to look poorer than my other tanks so i decided to give it a natural makeover, after sourcing and washing (safely) the rocks from a local park i set it up and he settled in naturally. But here is where the trouble begins, about 2-3 weeks later he stopped eating, this was a huge red flag because he is always a voracious eater. He also had rigor mortise. Even when i touched him with the tongs he barely reacted. he hasnt eaten in nearly a week and i thought he was molting but every molt either of my crayfish have had were less than 5 min long. His p*op has turned milky white and soft and he hasnt moved nearly a foot total vs casing the tank twice a day. ive tried feeding him every day and nothing has changed.

please, any help or knowledge of similar situations would mean the world to me, ive attached some photos of him and would appreciate helpful criticism of the tank.

Do I need an aerator?

Over searched hiigh and low and everyone seems to have their own opinion. I just dont want to kill my crayfish. I've got a 20 gallon tank that is filled about 2 inches below the top. All I have is the waterfall style filter for aeration. Is this enough? Please help!
