Was given a 10g tank with a baggie full of aquatic plants destined for the dump. I'm pretty sure they had a few snails. It took a couple hours to scrap the eggs off every leaf from about 100 plants like this.

Watch out bladder snails an assassin is on the loose

Pond Snail Eggs: Day 4. Stowaway pond snails are mating and laying eggs like crazy in my (fish free) partially cycled planted tank. This is the biggest cluster after 4 days. Tank details in the comments.

Mystery snails poorly after full water change due to detritus worm bloom. Acclimated to new water, hid in shells most of day then climbed to highest spot in tank and started reaching once they emerged. Then retreated back into shells. Water parameters test as fine.

Help! Are my snails fighting?

My bladder snails are unhappy. What can I do to help them?

Posted: 17 Jul 2020 12:03 PM PDT

A little background: I have a planted 3 gallon tank with about 15 bladder snails in it (the majority are little babies). My friend who gave me the snails told me I didn't need to use a filter since the plants would create enough oxygen. My snails have been looking unhappy lately--they are less active, a couple have died, and the bigger ones' shells are getting white bands. A few of the leaves on the plants also died. I hadn't been feeding them lately because they were multiplying like crazy and I figured they could eat the aquatic plants, but I gave them some blanched kale a few days ago after they started acting sick.

I'm quarantining right now because of covid symptoms, but am going to try to send a family member to Petco to get some supplies to help my snails. What should I tell them to buy? I'm thinking something for calcium and maybe something to test or fix the pH?

I added Patroclus to a larger tank with our other mystery snail Sam, and within five minutes she’s decided he’s the best resting place

Can I have two mystery snails and not have them reproduce?

Posted: 17 Jul 2020 04:32 PM PDT

I just got two mystery snails and don't want baby snails. Is it even possible for that to happen? They are both female... Right now. I didn't do as much research as I should have, because I already have a nerite and thought they were the same.

Snails for my 10 gallon betta tank

Posted: 17 Jul 2020 08:36 AM PDT

Aside from some luck with nerites and random hitchhiking rams horns, I don't have much experience or luck with snails. I'm looking to add something to my 10 gallon planted betta tank. It's fully cycled, 78F temp, with 7.4 pH. Will this work for a mystery snail or two? Only stocking is the betta, so bioload is very light.

A stupid question about snails.

Posted: 17 Jul 2020 09:45 AM PDT

I got three black mystery snails about a week or two ago. How do I know that they won't pass anything onto my betta who is in the snake tank as them? I have read about snails having diseases and parasites. Those things get me itchy and weird.
