I have 8 koi that are 5 inches in a 20 gallon long plan Posted: 03 Jul 2020 05:19 AM PDT Now before anyone comments. I didnt know they were koi. I have made arrangements so that when they are bigger i will take them back to the fish shop (in 6 months or so) so replace them with 2 goldfish. We originally bought them because we thought they were goldfish, we then made arrangements when we found out they were koi to build a pond but due to planning permission we cant, so we are taking them back in 6 or so months. Is that a good plan [link] [comments] | ||
Posted: 02 Jul 2020 11:43 PM PDT So I started my first(not done yet) koi pond and I'm addicted. In the next few weeks I want to expand on it. So I have a 125 gallon now. What I want is a either 10Lx5W pond that dips around, I'll borrow a compact excavator to dig it out and haul dirt that I already need to do ha. Or I want to do a larger pond 15Lx12W and do a platform(8Lx6w, big enough to sit down) in the middle that is open and about a foot away from the water so it doesn't hinder the size with a bridge to the side. Whole thing will be 3ft deep. drive link to photos where it would go and crude drawing lol It would be more shader than my 125gallon. The green is trees in the drawing, small circle with black and blue is my 125g now.. I would love it if I could connect the two together. Goal would be to feed in the 125 and then they'd learn that and come chill. Its beside our hammock and workshop/firepit area. [link] [comments] |
