Hi all! I have received 2 tiger nerite snails today for my community aquarium and both have this chipped-looking shell shape in the same spot. I've not had them before and I can't tell if this is normal or they both coincidentally have the same damage?

Anyone know why my mystery snail does this? I've had him for a while and he does it all the time I have no clue why he crawls like this though I'm not too concerned at the moment but I figured I'd ask on here.

I have a single gold snail in my 5g, and most of the time my snail is out, my betta goes out of his way to bite the snail, avoiding his shell. It's been a day and the snail hasn't come back out or moved at all. Last time he was out, my betta picked the snail up and dragged him to the surface before dropping him. Of course I want a snail for algae control, but I'm worried for the well being of the snail, would it be better to re home him? I have an entirely empty 3.5 I could put him in, but I don't think there's anything to eat and I'm worried he'd starve.

So..my black mystery snail has recently laid a clutch of eggs but I'm not sure where to sell or give them away to. I'm not wanting to just throw them away. Any recommendations on what I could do? (Sorry if there are grammar mistakes, I just woke up)
