Reef Tank - Aquariums - This is my Dad's 150g that he's had for about a year and a half. He's really proud of it so I figured I'd show it here.

Reef keeping: It takes years to accomplish the tank that inspired you.

It might be at the dentist office or a seafood restaurant. Maybe you snorkel or scuba. Or you are lucky enough to choose marine biology as your major! For me, it was my first (last) time in Las Vegas.

It was a work event but the only memorable moments were at the lobby in front of the aquarium. That variety and vibrancy of life puts LV to shame - flourishing amidst the blundering human chaos I've always (and forever) hated.

Unicorn Fish, the angelfish, wrasses, blowfish, clowns, rays. I didn't know the names. I saw incredible biodiversity, darting and flashing like the casino and streets outside but unaware of all that. In sync and in peace. No, I wasn't on drugs.

The reality of reef life (wild/enclosed) is a different story, as we all know. It must be in sync but not necessarily peaceful. For coral and fish it's gritty, terrible and competitive.

What got you hooked?

1.5 month growth on this bubble coral...didn’t have high hopes on this little guy doing all that well in my Petco tanks (especially after half of my ORA order came in freezing cold) but here he is!

Dear Tang Police, you can close the books on this case. Finally got the upgrade done to a 90 gallon. It’s been a couple days... only thing not looking happy is my sebae anemone.

Is it safe to keep dwarf seahorses and coral together?

Posted: 30 Apr 2020 06:33 PM PDT

I've recently started looking in to setting up a small tank for dwarf seahorses, I would love to make it a reef tank but I'm worried the corals could hurt them. Can the corals hurt them? If they can are there any corals that wouldn't hurt them?
