Reef Tank - Aquariums - Maroon clown attacks magnetic scrubber. Do other people’s clowns do this? I know maroons are somewhat aggressive but she loves her tank mates.

Had to switch the 55 corner to a 55 long. I like it a lot better, and so do the fish.

Finally joining the reef tank hobby! How long does it normally take for all the cloudiness to settle down? Any tips on things you wish you had known starting out would be greatly appreciated!

Some conch action

My anemone has had its mouth like this for approx two weeks. In particular I'm worried about what appears to be a growth on its mouth? I haven't seen anything like that before. Can anyone shed some light?

Planted reef tank?

Posted: 28 May 2020 11:14 PM PDT

I'm an experienced planted freshwater tank lady, but I'm interested in the bright colors of some of the saltwater plants. If I set up a 5 gallon salty tank just for plants, would I need all the high flow/ protein skimmer/ wavemaker/ shenanigans that I know absolutely nothing about? Or would plants grow with just proper salinity, lighting, an airstone, and possibly some ferts?

Are there any critters which could live in these minimalist conditions, such as a snail or worm? It's no biggie if not...I'm really about the plants, but a critter or two usually helps with free fertilizer.

TLDR: What is the bare minimum needed to grow only saltwater plants?

Ink bird temperature controller

Hi all,

I recently purchased the above and hooked it up just to realize the probe is made of metal.... after a little research I found that there is a "reef safe" version. Has anyone used the non-reef version and had any issues? Or should I just return it and order the correct controller?

They told me I couldn't over filter (there's also a canister filter in the refugium lol)
