Posted: 28 May 2020 11:14 PM PDT I'm an experienced planted freshwater tank lady, but I'm interested in the bright colors of some of the saltwater plants. If I set up a 5 gallon salty tank just for plants, would I need all the high flow/ protein skimmer/ wavemaker/ shenanigans that I know absolutely nothing about? Or would plants grow with just proper salinity, lighting, an airstone, and possibly some ferts? Are there any critters which could live in these minimalist conditions, such as a snail or worm? It's no biggie if not...I'm really about the plants, but a critter or two usually helps with free fertilizer. TLDR: What is the bare minimum needed to grow only saltwater plants? Ink bird temperature controller Posted: 28 May 2020 06:19 PM PDT Hi all, I recently purchased the above and hooked it up just to realize the probe is made of metal.... after a little research I found that there is a "reef safe" version. Has anyone used the non-reef version and had any issues? Or should I just return it and order the correct controller? [link] [comments] | ||
