| Posted: 12 May 2020 08:09 PM PDT What's going on everyone. I purchased some polyp lab one that I was going to start dosing. I'm having second thoughts. My tank is pretty packed with coral. Not very mush sps and what's in there is showing decent growth. My question is, has anyone else dosed this? Should I even bother if the tank seems fine? [link] [comments] | ||
| Should I wait to get an anemone? Posted: 12 May 2020 06:41 PM PDT I've had my tank for about a year and a half. It's 20 gallons, and it has 2 clownfish. I've been looking to get an anemone, and from what I've read online it's good to wait until you've had your tank set up at least a year (which I have), however, I have just now started adding live rock to the tank. When I first set up the tank, I chose to set the tank up with live sand in the place of live rock due to the price of rock. Can I add an anemone to my tank now, or should I wait a while because I have just recently added live rock? [link] [comments] | ||

| Would anyone here recommend the viparspectra 165w led reef light for a 10 gallon cube? Posted: 12 May 2020 09:02 PM PDT From what I've read the light has a way to scale down its power to the adequate power, do any of you have this light for your 10-20 gallon tanks? [link] [comments] | ||
| Any seahorse owners out there? Posted: 12 May 2020 10:51 PM PDT Soooo crazy quarantine thoughts here. Thinking about plumbing a macro/seahorse tank next to my 2ft cube with oversized sump. Has anyone done this before and have any advice? Sizes, pitfalls, concerns? I know would have to have horses that can withstand higher temps (25.5C), there are captive bred ones available here in Aus. [link] [comments] | ||
| Posted: 12 May 2020 10:41 PM PDT I'm moving to a new house in about 4 to 6 weeks and have a 60 gallon reef tank with live rock and some soft coral. There are four fish in the tank. A clown, royal gamma, and two damsels. A few crabs also live amongst them. I wondering what the best plan to begin this process is. I have some overlap with both houses, so I can set up a 40 gallon quarintinie tank at the new house to help with the transition. The hardest part to me is to safely get the fish from one tank to the next. How would you move your tank? Should I try to move the rocks a little bit at a time, leaving the fish in their current tank so the have less places to hide? [link] [comments] | ||

| Suggested reading for the average reef keeper? Posted: 12 May 2020 09:49 PM PDT Looking to see if there are any suggested reads for your average reefer to get a bit more details about keeping a mixed reef. I've already read through Saltwater Fish and Reef Tanks: From Beginner to Expert, and would like to know what the sacred texts are if any? [link] [comments] | ||
