- Every Living Room Needs a Reef Tank
- First reef tank ever. Let the cycling begin and wish me luck.
- New Setup
- Duncan under the blues
- Thought the tank looked good.
- Unique little guy
- Mushroom collection is coming along nicely.
- So it begins...
- You're looking around your nano when all of a sudden you spot them: Baby GSP (how did they make it so far away from their rock???)
- 25g - 2 months since moving everything in from the 15g.
- I’ve used this in three tanks now. Very cost effective versus more than double the cost at most local LFS. $1.34 a pound with free shipping from Amazon. Just note it’s base rock and may require chipping. They also have smaller options available.
- Loving the flow. Ft. Midas
- Looks so beautiful
- Sold to me as a Rainfordi Goby. I’m not sure he is?
- Can you ID my mushroom, please?
- Is this anything to worry about? New to tank (crazy t montipora)
- Today's "accidental" pickups.
- Full tank shot. 1 month old today.
- [help] Discussion on Red Sea 500. New reef setup in the works.
- Upgraded to a Reefer 170 a couple of weeks ago. So far so good
- Anemone has been looking real good since clownfish took up residence in it.
- New addition, banana muncher
- Mirror for aggressive fish when adding new fish

| [help] Discussion on Red Sea 500. New reef setup in the works. Posted: 24 May 2020 06:01 PM PDT Thanks to the rona, I have been able to save enough to drop a stack of bills on a new system. Looking to get a redsea 500 with a montepora theme. It's a 100 gallon rimless. Currently run a 32 gallon bio cube full of softies. Pic 1 pic 2 I have not tried SPS and I'd hate to screw it. Will I need special equipment like a reactor? Also Looking for anecdotal experience with sps. I have asked the guy at the LFS but he wants to up sell me on everything. [link] [comments] | ||

| Mirror for aggressive fish when adding new fish Posted: 24 May 2020 05:32 PM PDT Just wanted to share this, cause it worked. I have a red Sea max 650S I had three tangs, one yellow, two blue hippo, and I added three more at once, another yellow, a sailfin and a brown. The existing yellow initially targeted the brown and sailfin, and then turned all attention to the sailfin to the point he was in a corner and stayed there. I went on YouTube and watched a video about using a mirror I put a mirror on side of tank and the aggressive yellow rang became fixated on the morrow and allowed the sailfin to acclimate to the tank. I took it down after two days. He still chases him here and there, but now he knows the tank and just stays clear and does his thing. [link] [comments] |
