Help

Posted: 13 May 2020 11:42 PM PDT

I think I know what's up with my black moor. Cotton mouth. Because;

-He's got a general lack of appetite -There are litte white areas around his fins and mouth -Grey/White lines along his mouth.

I've never seen a fish with cotton mouth before, and I'm not an experienced fishkeeper. Does anybody know what I can do best right now?

He's in a 22 gallon tank with another fancy, Laet waterchange was yesterday, and I think this all started with a new plant, wich I got last saturday. I threw it out, but it might be too late

Help!! Possible swim bladder disease in my goldfish

Posted: 13 May 2020 10:26 PM PDT

I woke up to my goldfish not being able to control itself. I immediately started doing a water change and giving her peas. She's controlling herself a bit better now but it's not as before. What else can I do? I'll rise the temperature of the water to ~24C from 23C. Thanks

Black Moor Goldfish has whitish yellowish spots around his gills and around his eyes, not sure what the solution is

Black Moor Goldfish has whitish yellowish spots around his gills and around his eyes, not sure what the solution is

This began probably around February starting with his gills and has slowly spread to around his eyes. It only really began when i moved him from his much smaller 10 gallon tank to his current 30 gallon tank where he is the only fish there. Any advice or ideas as to what is wrong would be much appreciated

Goldfish go to the top of the aquarium to intake air....

Posted: 13 May 2020 05:16 PM PDT

I give up. I have a 55 gallon planted aquarium that's constantly at 78 F degrees. It has a bubbler and a Fluval Canister Spray bar, which I think is more than enough surface agitation. The water parameters are 7.4 PH, O PPM Ammonia, O PPM Nitrite, 0 PPM Nitrate. The aquarium is Nitrogen cycled. Does anyone have any insight or reason as to why they would keep doing this? Or how I may be able to remedy or alleviate some stress for them? Thanks in advanced!

Hey fellas would 2 fancies do good in a 36 gallon tank?

Posted: 13 May 2020 04:47 PM PDT

I have a HOB rated for 75 gallons and a smaller hob for 40 gallons. If its not big enough I will do a shrimp/nano fish tank

Tank choices in the UK

Posted: 13 May 2020 04:08 PM PDT

Hello! I'd love some advice on tanks in the UK. I see the absolute minimum for two single tailed goldfish is 75 gallons, so about 340 litres I think. My tank isn't big enough and was supposed to be temporary, but now we're on lockdown the weeks are slipping by. In the meantime I'm monitoring the water quality and keeping on top of changes.

Anyway I'm looking at new tanks now because I'm desperate to move them and the original plan of getting a second hand one at this point will be difficult because of lockdown (I live in a rural area so choice is limited and we can't travel). I got quite into the Fluval Roma 240 and then realised it's too small too!

Can anyone recommend any suitable makes and models at the cheaper end of the spectrum? Does anyone keep single tailed goldfish in an aquarium? Am I mad to want to? I've got really attached to them so any advice or suggestions would be amazing. Also any ideas on furniture suitable for that weight of water would be handy if I could save a bit of money buying a tank and base separately.

Obviously if the answer is that I must find them a new home in a pond then so be it, but I'd love to keep them if I can do that and keep them happy and healthy too.

Thank you! 🙂

Question-Possible predation causing changing behaviors? I have a 300 gallon pond with around 10 goldfish. 8 of those are very small store bought goldfish and the other two being slightly bigger pond store fish. Recently my fish have been acting off? (Continued in comments)

Help with Ich beyond what I’ve read

Posted: 13 May 2020 02:00 PM PDT

Hi guys- I have 4 fancies.. two got Ich, and I'd never dealt with it before. I medicated my tank according to guidelines on here. They've been recovering for two weeks, and are recovering well! The Ich spots are gone, with small scars or marks left. Only two fish had it. When do u think it would be safe to move the fish to the unmedicated tank? It's a new tank, and I want a healthy start for my fish.

Thanks!

Where do you reccomend buying?

Posted: 13 May 2020 11:31 AM PDT

Can buy online or at a store. Would prefer under 10 bucks a fish. I want 1 shubunkin, 1 ryukin, 1 oranda, and 1 fantail. Prefer calico in most.

My calico fancy(Marlboro) is looking kind of pale. Is it normal for them to look like this? Sorry for bad picture
