First timer koi fish *need help* I was wondering what disease do my koi fish had? A lot of my fish has died somehow and i spotted this one with rot on his head.

A follow up to yesterday. Here is a small video of my Koi. All other appear to be fine. Upon testing the water No2 No3 GH KH and Cl2 all appear to be good. Ph is slightly low at a 6.4. Koi appears to miss a few scales and small green blob on the underside fin.

Possibly building a Koi Pond, need some advice

Posted: 24 May 2020 08:01 PM PDT

Hey guys. So I've got a unique situation here and thought of a unique solution to the problems I've been having but I want to do due diligence first before I make a move and buy fish if they're gonna be miserable.

So. Just bought a house and the back yard gets kinda damp. Asked around with some of the neighbors and turns out two of them brought in a ton of fill dirt and made their back yard taller than everyone else's, so now any rain just flows into mine and my neighbors yards.

Now as much as the logical solution would be just bring in fill dirt then that just makes the problem worse for the people on either side of me.

So I was wondering.

Would there be some way to have that water possibly fill a koi pond? Or used as a reservoir for the pond? My biggest concern with doing this is I obviously don't want to harm the fish at all.

I've always wanted a Koi Pond and figured this could be a somewhat unique solution to my problem.

Basically my plan is find the lowest point of the yard, build a pond there then next to it build a reservoir and bury some tubing between that and the other excessively low/wet points. Build the sides up with some stone and have it look nice and whatnot.

Anyone ever do something similar? How did it work.

Thank you all so much in advance.

Selling father's Koi Fish, have a feeling I lowballed the price at $1,000

Selling all 16 of my Father's Koi fish since he's at an age he can no longer properly maintain them. Priced them for 1,000 dollars. Three people are willing to come pick them up asap to grab them. 16 fish, between 4-7 years old. Healthy and big. Thoughts? https://imgur.com/a/CbRi6Pg

Adding a catfish?

Posted: 24 May 2020 10:31 AM PDT

About 15 years ago we were given three koi and a catfish by a family friend that was moving to a new house with no pond nor the ability to create one. One of the koi and the catfish died last year after the pump died during the dog days of summer and I wasn't home (someone else was feeding the fish). We're going to buy a few small koi but we were also thinking about getting a catfish out of nostalgia. I know they can get aggressive, but what are some other cons and pros of putting one in my pond? If I do get one, how much smaller should it be, relative to the new koi? Thanks in advance.
