| Moving to a new tank, help please Posted: 22 Apr 2020 10:30 PM PDT Thanks everyone for all the help I've had on here over the last few days. My wife bought me a new biocube 32 and I plan to move every ting from my nanocube 29 to it Friday. If I reuse 80% of my water, take the same Live rock, and get new sand+one to two cups of my live sand to seed it, can I put my fish into the new tank immediately without risking them? All I have are an engineer goby (he's about 2' long) and a 3" long four stripe damsel. [link] [comments] | ||
| Red Sea Reefer 250 led lighting question Posted: 22 Apr 2020 09:39 PM PDT Will two Reefer Led 50's be sufficient for this aquarium or should I be going with Reefer LED 90's? Thank you [link] [comments] | ||

| ATO on 13.5 EVO....probably a dumb question Posted: 23 Apr 2020 12:11 AM PDT So after a few years (close to 10!) on the sidelines I'm ready to jump back into reef keeping. The 13.5 Evo has my interest but i just can seem to figure out how to install an ato? I mean surely all these tanks aren't running full blown sumps underneath are they? Please teach this old dog a new trick, cheers! [link] [comments] | ||

| Posted: 22 Apr 2020 05:33 PM PDT I have just over $300 to spend unfortunately but it's a start and I could most likely ask for some cash for my parents to help pay for things but I'd like to be able to buy multiple things. I need an RO/DI system and I was thinking about this one. Does anybody have any experience with this one or the brand? I was also going to get the Hanna reef tests for Alkalinity, Calcium, and Phosphate but the website I was going to buy just the testers from went out of stock so there's a bunch of bundles that are way more expensive. I found just the testers for $150 but these kits are like $250. Are any of the things in these kits online any good or necessary? I'm planning on getting the best gear I can afford so I don't have to buy anything for as long as I can. I would also like to get a better test kit than my API Saltwater Master Test Kit for something a little bit better but I don't know what's better to be honest. And what do people think of refractometers vs. digital salinity testers (like the one in that Hanna kit), and hydrometers? My hydrometer has been working fine (I think) but I was curious if there's anything more precise and if it matters at all. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks [link] [comments] |
