Am new to reefing and I just want to know if I have to put prime in rodi water or just add the salt

Help!! This clown is swimming vertically and has been bullied by the dominant clown. It looks like his skin is torn a little right under his lower fin; and his mouth and face looks odd. No ammonia, nitrates, good p.h., etc.

Bubble Tip nem

When I first got my bubble tip anemone it wondered around for a while and it finally settled in a spot with pretty high flow and it got flat and deflated I guess you would call it and has been like that ever since. Still opens up and is bright green sill and seems happy. If I change the flow and make it where he is less flow will it bubble up again?

Where do reefers go to connect locally?

Posted: 28 Apr 2020 06:38 PM PDT

Do you guys find locals with facebook or is there something else I'm not aware of?

I started my tank probably three months ago. Since then, I've gone from being completely stable to laid off from my job due to Covid. I have a tank up and running with a single clown and bare rock. I'd like to fill it with some cheap coral, especially since I'd love to give my clown a proper home / something to host, but I can't justify spending a bunch of money right now... I probably picked the worst time imaginable to start this hobby. I don't regret it, but the sight of my bare tank does drag me down a bit >.>

This was a hitchhiker. I have watched this guy grow from nothing! Anyone know what he is? Maybe a chalice?

Biocube Dilemma

Posted: 28 Apr 2020 06:34 PM PDT

So im looking for a all in one for my bed room. i settled on a biocube because ive had one before. i found a biocube thats been running for 4 years has live rock and sand already in it and has coraline everywhere ( no big deal for me ). there asking $100 for everything. yes thats right $100.. but i also found one close by thats brand new never had a drop of water in it for $350. Would it be smarter to get the tank thats used or new? i dont mind cleaning the used one up. but i also dont mind starting from scratch either? what would you do in this situation?

as far as a fish plan goes Im looking to do a mostly softie and LPS tank and 3 fish. 2 clowns and a yellow watchman.

Catastrophe Averted! Found my 10" Carpet Anemone in the Gyre yesterday morning. Luckily only the outer edges were ground up a bit.

Adding Corals to an uncycled tank?

Posted: 28 Apr 2020 09:38 PM PDT

Greetings Reefers,

My tank is a 13.5 Nano fluval that is currently going through the cycle process. Would I be able to add soft corals and zoas to my tank now? I've heard this is controversial but that there is no evidence a tank needs to be cycled to add corals. Please share you're thoughts!

Thanks!
