I think I made a mistake

Don't judge me this is my first fish and I haven't even kept a pet because it's too much responsibility in my life and I'm on a low income.

So I'll preface by saying I was given this fish for Christmas with nothing but a bowl and I have now spent more than $150 to get him a proper sized tank with a filter, gravel, plants and decorations to hide in and around and perform weekly %10 water changes

I cycled the tank months ago and have had him in there for about three months doing well.

Two weeks ago I bought a pleco and he seemed to be doing fine but I found him dead four days later with a white patch on his head.

A few days ago I noticed a small red streak appearing on my goldfishes tail and started performing more frequent water changes. The streak did not disappear.

(I should also note that this fish had signs of ammonia poisoning when I got him and I managed to reverse it.)

Then today something bad happened. I was cleaning with Windex early in the morning and had forgotten to wash my hands before I dropped in a few pellets in the after noon

I am not sure if somehow there was something on my hands that contaminated his food or if there is something wrong with my tank. I have not been able to take params as I have yet to be able get a test kit.

He began acting very erratic, flashing and compulsively scavenging for food. The red streak on his tail had progressed to a red blotch and his dorsal fin began turning red.

I removed him from the tank and did a %75 water change and fed him a pea to make him poop out the food I'd given him as quickly as possible and he now appears to be doing better, acting more normal but he's still got the red spots and extremely skittish he's normally very active and swims right up to see me for feeding and follows me around ALL DAY

I feel like somehow the food got contaminated from ammonia on my hands but is that even possible so many hours later and from such a quick and small touch?

I will be performing more water changes but I just don't know what's happening. It seems like since I added that pleco everything has been out of whack...

Im very worried, I've become quite fond of this little guy

Is my fish doing better? Is he still skittish because he's afraid of me because I removed him from the tank or is it because he's still not doing well?

Its been a stressful day for both of us :(

Is 29 gallons enough for 2 goldfish?

How do I get rid of green water after dosing with API fungus cure?? I treated as instructed, and I have now done 2 50% water changes and replaced the carbon. (The fish look good, no signs of illness) Should I continue with water changes and if yes, how often?? Thanks!!

What's wrong with this little guy?

What's wrong with this little guy?

I've had three Thai orandas that all came from the same place since the 25th of last month. They are very small and share a temporary 45g tank. The tank was taken apart to paint the back but the filter media from when it was up, established, and cycled was kept in water for no more than 4 hours before being put back.

I have experience with numerous tropical fish and have treated several diseases and whatnot (first time keeping goldfish). About a week ago, a single white spot appeared on his head. After reading about it I assumed it was wen growth and left it alone for the day. Next day he had more on his body. I had originally thought of regular fungus and treated with Nox Ich (salt and malachite green) which has worked wonders for me in the past. I tried treating the tank after numerous baths with it.

I looked everywhere and the best diagnosis I could apply was columnaris. His fins have started deteriorating and some of the white stuff comes off in strings. With quarantine I can't go anywhere to purchase other meds but I have taken a step with using Furan-2, as suggested somewhere. It looks better but now on day 3 of treatment (after water change and upped dose) he has started resting on the bottom of the tank. He is in a separate tank kept at 72 degrees, which I intend to decrease after posting. I'm getting a little desperate because not only was he expensive, but I'm really attached to him.

I'm open to suggestions and critiques if I'm doing anything wrong. The other two were completely unaffected and are fine.

Goldfish has what looks like tumors all over body.

One of my goldfish has, all of a sudden, developed these tumour looking growths all across its body.

Can any of you tell if these are in fact tumors? Not sure what my actions to take to help the fish and protect my other fish as well.

Thanks for any advice you have to offer

Goldfish acting lethargic before giving food. More details below

Posted: 05 Apr 2020 01:18 AM PDT

So for the past 2 days, I've been waking up to my goldfish has been sitting next to a plant, on the ground, without moving. After dropping her a few pellets, she has been moving and acting normal. I can't leave params yet I'm going to order a water test kit and leave them here after receiving it. Tank is 30g and she's the only one in the tank.

Fish acting lethargic, now only sitting at bottom of tank. Could it be septicemia?
