| What NO3 level should a crayfish tank not exceed? How do I lower the level? Posted: 13 Apr 2020 04:56 PM PDT Have been trying to look it up but I cant find any info. I just did a water change + cleaned up the tank yesterday, and it still sits at 5ppm 🤔 Ideally, i'd like it to be at 0. Anyone have ideas or am I overthinking this? Thanks!! [link] [comments] | ||

| Posted: 13 Apr 2020 12:18 PM PDT So, my female dwarf Mexican crayfish currently only has 1 of her second (the long one) antennas. She's been like this since before I went on a trip in March and I do not remember her only having one before then. The only thing I can think that might have happened is that the male could have attacked her. Although they are rarely aggressive and she is usually the dominant one. However, I know they mated while I was gone because she was carrying fertilized eggs when I got home (good grief!) Now she is in a separate tank from the male. She's gone through at least 2 molts since I noticed this and there appears to be no regrowth, like I would expect from a claw or leg. So, my question is, will this antenna grow back? And does having it gone have any negative effects that I need to mitigate or will she be just fine? [link] [comments] |
