My little glowing bb (pls ignore the debris, mommy’s still learning how not to make a mess with the brine shrimp)

Dexter seems to love this new print made by my friend. Dexter & Phil have been an inspiration for a bunch of my mate's artwork. Can't wait to hang this and a few more of his axolotl prints above their tank!

mini fridge chiller

Posted: 17 Apr 2020 06:27 AM PDT

My partner and I are moving in the next month and looking to give our dragons a nicer setup. I'm looking at this mini-fridge from walmart (it's on sale now so I want to act fast)
https://www.walmart.ca/en/ip/koolatron-bc46ss-16-cubic-foot-44-liters-stainless-steel-personal-refrigerator/6000012898163

I'm wondering if anyone here has done the mini fridge route for a chiller, and with your expert knowledge could you tell me if this would work for us? We are moving the two of them to a 55G tank, and we have a Fluval Canister Filter. We live on the east coast of Canada so the highest temp we would have in the summer is probably 25 degrees celsius.

Any advice appreciated!

Is the level not bad?

Posted: 17 Apr 2020 11:04 AM PDT

Lately I have seen the little guy with his tail curved and from What I hear it's a sign of stress. Went to the store to get a test. KH-0 GH-30 PH-LOOKED BETWEEN 6.5-7 NO3-0 NO2-0.5 are these levels alright?

I did recently just change his diet of only blood worms to nightcrawlers, and only eats like half of a whole. So not sure if it's the levels or change of diet.

Getting the first tank right

Posted: 17 Apr 2020 09:30 AM PDT

Hello all,

I was just about to purchase this tank and get it ready to pick up an axie in the next month or so and thought it may be a bit big. Just wanted your guys opinion.

The plan is to get just the one axie. The tank is an Interpet Aquaverse 160l. It comes with its own filter (but I've heard that it's bad for the size so will plan to get another one).

Dimensions if you need are; H (50cm) x W (100cm) x D (40cm).

And here's a link to the tank if you guys need; https://www.interpet.co.uk/Products/Aquariums/Aquariums/Aquaverse-Aquarium-160L#key features

Thanks!

My new baby axolotl. Don’t got a name for it yet!

Tiny baby boy! Adopted him two days ago. He still only has his front legs and hind limb buds.

Help needed! My axolotl's arm is very red and showing the bone, I assume my other axie bit her, she's been having fungal problems in her gills lately, what should I do?
