Rexy boy seems to love his new home

HELP! I just got a small axolotl. He was sick before and the people said he was fine now. After he arrived at my house he threw up a huge mealworm. I felt so bad since that's not the right food for a guy like this. Hes super skinny and seems sick what do I do.

Smelly Tank

Posted: 06 Apr 2020 05:54 AM PDT

Hi all, recently my tank has started smelling quite bad, I have since done a big clean of all uneaten food and changed the filter sponges as did a big water change. This helped for about a week but its creeping back in. My first theory is it might be the new food, I've switched from frozen bloodworm to pellets. Any tips for how to keep the smell down are most appreciated by me and my mum who keeps telling me it stinks

Axolotl not moving

Posted: 06 Apr 2020 08:10 AM PDT

I took my Axi to the vets this morning to remove a stone he had swallowed (this is the first time this has happened). When I collected him he wasn't moving much but i assumed it was because of the anaesthetic they had given him. He flipped over a couple of times during the ride home but I could feel him still kicking a little when I turned him back over. Since then his movements have gotten less and less and now he hasn't moved in about an hour. Is there anything I can do to check and make sure he's alright?

She’s been swimming like this a lot lately, is this normal axolotl behaviour?
