Snail not eating

Posted: 07 Apr 2020 05:51 PM PDT

Hey I just recently set up a tank with a betta and a nerite snail. They're both happy and active. However, I noticed the nerite won't eat anything I put in for him. I've tried half an algae wafer and he didn't move. The next day I put a fork in a piece of cucumber and put it in and he's still not interested. He's made his rounds around the tank, but there's probably not much algae since it's a new tank. Any tips?

First clutch of mystery snail eggs

Posted: 07 Apr 2020 11:54 AM PDT

Hello Aquatic Snails reddit! Hope you all are having a wonderful day. I woke up to my first clutch of eggs in my mystery snail tank this morning. This is my first time caring for Mystery snails and my first time hatching babies too. I've seen some people detach their eggs to incubate them, but I have also heard it's best to leave them where they are to fall into the water.

Any and all tips are welcome! I'd love to hear about your experience, especially if you've had any eggs!
