Need help with guppies stealing my shrimp’s food...

Hello all! I am new to the aquarium keeping hobby and I've had 6 shrimp (1 Amano, 1 cherry, 4 ghosts) in my new tank for about a month now.

I recently introduced four guppies into my tank and they get along fine with the shrimp. The only problem is the guppies will find the shrimp pellets (Hikari Shrimp Cuisine) before the shrimps do and eat them. I tried to feed them in different locations but I don't want food everywhere in the tank. Plus the guppies always seem to find the food wherever I put it. I'm worried about my shrimps because I don't think I have enough algae to sustain them. I also want them to get enough protein and nutrients. Any suggestions?

If I use warm water for my water changes does that increase the chance the water contains trace amounts of copper?

I had a batch of water get ruined halfway through a water change and I need to get water in the tank. I detoxify w/ Seachem prime but am worried about needing 24hrs for temp to adjust to room temp. My tap comes out in the 50s sometimes lower and tank is mid 70s. I usually use prime and then let water sit for 3+ days before adding to my tanks. If I blend hot and cold to make it spot on temp And then give it an hour with an air stone to make sure the Prime works will it be safe to add? Orange Sakura colony of 200+ at stake.
