A bit of a rant: fish in way too small tanks

Posted: 21 Mar 2020 02:22 PM PDT

I don't know if i just had too much time because of curfew, but lately i seem to notice more and more nano tanks with fish in it that are way too big/active.

Guppys in 2-3 gallon tanks, bettas without even a 5 gallon tank, a lot of neons/cardinals in very small aquariums and so on. Even aquascaping YouTubers upload videos of 4 gallon tanks with CPDs and are serting a bad example.

I know that with aquariums there isn't only one correct way of doing things and i myself have probably made a lot of mistakes, but if everyone says "This fish needs a 15 gallon tank" a 7g most likley isn't good for the fish.

Do people not care about the fish or are they just uninformed ?
