Planted Aquarium - Madagascar Lace taking over!!! (30 gallon) |
- Madagascar Lace taking over!!! (30 gallon)
- My first planted tank! Under student budget, I cleaned up this used terrarium tank from Craigslist and transformed it into my dream tank
- I must be doing well because my algae is pearling!
- My nano tank fish room (forever WIP)!
- My 6 gallon
- Two months progress!
- Added some RCS to my bowl today! First timer here, go easy.
- Rearranged some of my 10gal (no ferts no co2) and added a light
- An ever evolving hard scape. My first tank and iwagumi set up.
- Tank looking extra fresh this morning. Almost three months in
- FTS of my big tank. It was looking really nice this afternoon.
- Spuderwood centerpiece arrived today for my new tank. Looking good
- Took a chance and bought spiderwood from Amazon. 3 pieces for $12.99. Doesn't look nearly as good as what was advertised, but could have been worse. It's for a 5g... I'll make it work.
- My Fluval Spec V With A Fresh Trim
- Finished my 22g long build. Should I dry start?
- Mr. Fatboy
- Super satisfied with the progress! (4ish months)
- Finally flooded after 6 week dry start
- My 55 planted growing tank. Live plants with convict cichlids, Golden mbuna female, 2 unidentified African cichlids, ocellaris bass. Seen with fathead rosies in tank as well.
- "Stop on a dime" - Newly hatched mystery snails, dime for scale. Link to more images in comments!
- Very small planted container, I found everything for it in the wild except for the glass container!
- Can you do a fish-free planted tank?
- Are these Baby Tears propagating?
- 37 gallon tall tank
- I love the colors in my top down view of my Newt Paludarium. There is a newt somewhere in this picture if you can find her.

Can you do a fish-free planted tank? Posted: 29 Feb 2020 07:59 PM PST I love the look of planted aquariums, but travel too much to reliably take care of fish. Is it possible to do a "low maintenance"/planted in soil terrarium without fish or a water pump? Would it be ok if left for up to 1 month at a time? I am away for 2-3 weeks several times a year. I had two 3 year old fern + sellaginella terrariums at work (3 gallon container + 10 gallon tank) that died when I was unexpectedly gone for two months. A coworker noticed there was condensation, didn't realize it was normal, took off the lids, and didn't water them. At least my cacti survived. I'm looking for a replacement for my work terrariums, and thinking of trying a planted tank instead - is it a really stupid idea? [link] [comments] | ||
