My Walstad shrimp bowl greeting me when I get home...
Starting up the jarrarium hobby! What's y'alls favorite plants/soils to put in a hanging jar?
My desert terrarium!
6 m/o self-sustaining sealed terrarium
Bloodworm jarrarium? Bought the worms on a whim and want to propagate them as fish snacks. Can I do it in a vase? Only things currently stocked are cycled substrate, tank water, odds and ends for decomposition, and the worms.

My first terrarium in a big jar I had. This was taken three months ago when I first made it. It's corked off and growing in nicely now. All native plants except Anubias Nana.

Newbie and interested in maybe starting a few. These are the jars I already have laying around. Do they seem decent to use? If so any suggestions for what kind of jarrariums to attempt to make?

Update on my Ecosystem

It is Day 3 of my 1st Ecosphere and apart from a little white blob that appeared on Day 2 there isn't much to share.

There is nothing swimming around which is surprising especially as I used water from a lake and also water from a stream. I am hoping that this is normal but I wanted something to float around so that my son could see it....beats buying sea monkeys lol.
