- My Walstad shrimp bowl greeting me when I get home...
- Starting up the jarrarium hobby! What's y'alls favorite plants/soils to put in a hanging jar?
- My desert terrarium!
- 6 m/o self-sustaining sealed terrarium
- Bloodworm jarrarium? Bought the worms on a whim and want to propagate them as fish snacks. Can I do it in a vase? Only things currently stocked are cycled substrate, tank water, odds and ends for decomposition, and the worms.
- Louisiana
- Had a date day collecting moss around the yard today for our second jarrarium!
- First attempt, almost a week old and thriving!
- One gallon jug terrarium
- First Ecosphere! I think these are diving beetles.
- My first terrarium in a big jar I had. This was taken three months ago when I first made it. It's corked off and growing in nicely now. All native plants except Anubias Nana.
- Christmas ornament jarrariums
- When you’re in quarantine and find a pretzel jar in your recycle...
- Borneo Jungle Plant themed closed system terrarium
- Newbie and interested in maybe starting a few. These are the jars I already have laying around. Do they seem decent to use? If so any suggestions for what kind of jarrariums to attempt to make?
- Update on my Ecosystem
- My first build. Any recommendations for what kind of snail or shrimp work well in an open top jar?

- Any idea what this worm like thing is?

Posted: 22 Mar 2020 05:15 AM PDT It is Day 3 of my 1st Ecosphere and apart from a little white blob that appeared on Day 2 there isn't much to share. There is nothing swimming around which is surprising especially as I used water from a lake and also water from a stream. I am hoping that this is normal but I wanted something to float around so that my son could see it....beats buying sea monkeys lol. Here is the blob images:
