3rd Annual March Aquarium Madness Nominations!

Posted: 06 Mar 2020 08:49 AM PST

Hi everyone, it's March Madness Fever again and time for our Annual March Aquarium Madness event spanning the entire month.

If you are new or haven't participated before, this event is similar to NCAA college basketball's March Madness tournament and is a bracketed event facing fish off against each other in rounds until a winner is decided at the end.

To start the event off, we are posting a nomination poll where you can vote to see your favorite fish in the tournament. We will tally these votes and use the top choices to ensure they are in the pool. You can add more than one entry.

We have not decided exact quantity yet, but a certain number of the top picks last year that won (say, the final 8) will automatically be in it this year. The rest of the spots will be filled by nomination picks with the highest votes.

Some quick criteria:

  • Aquarium aquatic-life only

  • Animals/inverts only, no plants

  • The moderation team will decide on the limits of too many of a single species for consideration (i.e. tetras)

Nominate your favorite fish/aquatic life here!

We had a house fire and this noodle was the only one I was able to save from my massively planted aquarium. He’s finally started exploring and wiggling than just hiding from all the stress

3 year old niece was looking at fish with me. Walked 6 feet away to fill my cup with water, she slammed my door and I came back to this. Toddlers are fast, man.
