- Harlequin Serpent Starfish!
- My Tank
- Newly set up 140 gallon reef
- Space is hard to come by on nanos so a hanging basket for the back works a treat. (Maybe its common knowledge hahaha) I was really stoked with it though.
- I made a $42 circuit board that does virtually everything the $800 Apex can do! Posted it on Kickstarter & it's currently 774% funded with 4 days to go! Check out the page, or ask any questions you may have here in the comments.
- Aliens are real
- New little blue leather next to my green polyp toadstool that has practically doubled in size in a month
- Will anything eat this stuff?
- AI Prime Lighting Profile
- Got an RODI unit and TDS meter, turns out my water is very good.
- DIY Chaeto Reactor
- A small start to my hopefully successful Zoa garden rock
- Recently my reef tank has been acting strange. My acans would shrivel up and then open up again. And not my gsp has polyps falling off of it. All of my other corals look fantastic including my monti. Any clue as to what’s happening?
- First time cycling, new to reefing.
- Poor Pacific blue, how do we stop this?
- When the clean up crew cleans your clean up crew.
- Is it normal for a protein skimmer to overflow the first day you put it in?
- How my 425xl is coming together.
- Is she okay ? She's been like this since yesterday. My friend got some new snails, hermits and 2 emerald crabs could they cause her to shrink down like that because of too mich stress or so ?
- Semi-New Reefer Question
- Bristle worms? Or something else? I have these guys all through my rock work. They hate light but should I buy some sort of critter to get rid of them or are they food for your tank.
- Omg pls stahp why are you like this?? Why won't you avoid danger and just let me live my life????
Weekly quick asks thread - February 07, 2020 Posted: 07 Feb 2020 05:12 AM PST Here is the place to post questions about pest ID, coral/fish ID, your cycle, or any other questions that generally wouldn't start up a conversation. If you have an interesting or unique question please create a new thread so everyone can discuss it in length! These are some great resources for ID's of pests/algae. [link] [comments]

Posted: 07 Feb 2020 07:22 PM PST I have an AI prime for my 10 gallon tank and I'm struggling to find the right lighting setup/mix. Does anyone have an AI prime profile they are willing to share? I have two clowns that I have had for 4 years now and back into housing corals. [link] [comments]

First time cycling, new to reefing. Posted: 07 Feb 2020 06:35 PM PST Doing a fishless cycle, the good: ammonia goes from 2 ppm to almost zero in a day. The bad: Nitrites have never fallen yet. Even with a large 75 percent water change. After the WC I added ammonia to 2 ppm then 2 days later nitrates skyrocketed to 160 while Nitrites still super purple. Up till now nitrates didn't seem to move rapidly. Using api salt water test kit and it's a 10 gallon tank. I'm 1 month and 2 days into cycling and I suspect at the start I put way to much ammonia which I corrected with a water change. Would you do another water change with the test showing max nitrite and nitrate? Thanks. [link] [comments]

Is it normal for a protein skimmer to overflow the first day you put it in? Posted: 07 Feb 2020 05:53 PM PST I just got a Ice Cap Nano K-1 Protein skimmer on my Fluval 13.5. After installing it, I tried to get it dialed in in terms of micro bubbles, but the bubbles are really big and at times the skimmer overflows (not enough to knock the cap off but noticeable enough). Is this normal the first day and will it quiet down? [link] [comments]

Posted: 07 Feb 2020 07:59 PM PST I recently setup a small 10g sump and currently letting the pump just flow back into the sump until I attach is to my main tank. There is a white film that developed on the surface and stays gel-like in the water, is this harmful or dangerous? . Also, side thing, is it possible that a new rodi system could cause this or be harmful if I attach the sump. Thank you. [link] [comments]
