Substrate? No substrate?

Posted: 03 Feb 2020 04:00 PM PST

Current project: 265 gallon reef, 125 gallon diy sump.

Completely new to salt, wondering opinions on substrate.

Seems as though some are converting to bottomless for less maintenance. Any strong opinions one way or the other?

I'm planning on painting the bottom with plasti-dip white and may incorporate sand or crushed coral, but want to hear about experiences.

Absolutely no idea on what I plan to stock yet. I know lots of people are into coral, but I'm not a fiend yet...

Ai prime mount in water

Posted: 03 Feb 2020 06:41 PM PST

Hello,

I was wondering if it is okay if the AI prime clamp is in the aquarium. Mine is currently on my 10 gallon but I am worried if anything could leach with prolonged exposure.
