Experiment update: 6 months sealed tested pH it was below 6. Very acidic. Acidification progresses much quicker than I thought. 10% in substrate aragonite not effective.

Your jarrariums are real ecosystems. They are complex systems exhibiting self-organization and adaptation through ecological succession which culminates into a a mature organized system tuned to maximize energy throughput. After the succession it enters a stable steady-state.
