I made this jarrarium for the kid I work for, this little guy is 2yrs old and still going. I might have to steal this guy back, sooo neat looking.

First try. Put some pennywort in there that I expect to just take over. Also a little strawberry begonia cutting that may or may not propagate.

Hello! I posted here with some questions a while back, and today marks two weeks since I made my first jarrarium. I used native soil collected from my home in Western Washington, as well as two types of moss and some Oregon oxalis. I also threw in some decaying wood from a tree (western redcedar or Douglas fir; it's too far gone for me to tell) on my property that was felled about 110 years ago. The oxalis, of which I planted two rhizome sections, has sent up about half a dozen new shoots in the last week. I've been keeping it sealed, but eventually I'll make a permanent seal to see how long it can last.
