What's the one thing you wish someone told you before you got your axolotl?
Any idea what these bubbles are? Under his skin and in his arm? Water parameters are perfect, and water temp is 54•F. Still active and eating. Previous tankmate died from Columnaris bacteria, we treated this one with TMS antibiotics from exotic vet- almost 2months ago.

Is anyone else as messy as I am when doing WCs and feedings? It's not perfect by any means but I was needing a hanging towel for Helios's tank so I created my own.
My beautiful water baba looking pleased with herself after her first time having a tasty treat of a few bits of raw salmon.

so long story short where my axies need to be can get up to 35°C in summer and i only got through last summer by emergency tubbing and ice bottles. i need to keep heat lower and obviously i cant drop slightly less than 20°C with fans so i need to get a heavier duty chiller. the tank is a 180L bow front filled to 150L.

Still floating

My axolotl has been floating for a couple days now. It's been put in a shallow tub and fridged for about 12 hours now and the floating has continued. There's sand in the bottom but nothing that should cause impaction. Should it be fridged longer? How long do floats typically last?
