Made for someone. Three weeks unopened (besides last night to test parameters) Posted: 10 Jan 2020 06:14 AM PST |
A pair of nano marimo Posted: 09 Jan 2020 06:36 PM PST | Roommate has a fish tank where the goldfish love to peck at the marimo they have. I picked out some marimo fragments from the tank and filter before water change, let the fragments free float in this jar for a month and then gently rolled them, they are about the size of a pencil eraser. They've been living in this jar for about 4 months now with daily turns, and weekly water changes. I just changed the setup for a change of view. It originally had sand and gravel, but I was stressed out and decided to pick out only the nicest pieces of gravel. Since the gravel has a slight pink hue, it reminds me of spring. https://preview.redd.it/53oj0js06v941.jpg?width=4656&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=3d33ed4fad16808a8d623d0062590b35057bf397 submitted by /u/Glassfern [link] [comments] | |
Would this work okay? The opening is pretty small so I'm thinking maybe it'd be too difficult for my first attempt. Posted: 10 Jan 2020 06:28 AM PST |
Eco-ready. Top box: experiment to see how boiled driftwood affects water parameters. Below: nutrient cycling experiment, specifically nitrogen fixation by duckweed. Far right: back up copepod culture. Posted: 09 Jan 2020 01:00 PM PST |
