Why are my crayfish so depressed/inactive?

At first, I had assumed my five 1.5 inch Marmorkrebs held in my 20 gallon tank were acting just as any other crayfish, that is, until I went to my LPS (where I had previously donated a bunch of my marmorkreb babies) and saw one of my old Marmorkrebs (who is now also around 1.5 inches) playing around eating and overall having a great time! My crayfish rarely every come out, nor are they that continuously active, even at night! The only difference in our tanks were that the LPS tanks had tons of other fish, only one Marmorkreb, and was a good deal cleaner (my tank hasn't had its gravel cleaned in a while, about 3 weeks, due to my old one breaking and the shipping time taking forever, and my tank has some considerable algae growth). My tank has much more decorations than the LPS's tank, and my tank's parameters are: 20 ppm nitrates, 0.3 ppm nitrites, 0.3 ppm ammonia, 170 ppm GH, 0 ppm chlorine, 100 ppm KH, and 7 ph.
