• Does anyone know what this is? I found it in my axolotls poop and it kind of resembles if you peeled off glue. I looked at my axi and nothing’s peeling off of him.

help! weird axolotl noises!! help! Posted: 20 Jan 2020 06:43 PM PST ​ This is Frida and she is my first axolotl and first aquatic critter I've kept in about 10 years. I really don't know how to tell if she's content or not beyond a few key signs, but I've noticed she's been walking and not swimming very much and didn't know if I should be watchful of that? The first week I brought her home she would swim and float all over but now she's just chilling at the bottom. She's been eating well and pooping well, and her gills look just as they do in the image above to overall she seems healthy, I'm just a bit worried being a new keeper.
