Got some submerged Ludwigia Pantanal in the mail. The stems curl down & the crowns (tips) are closed like a flower Is this temporary?

It started off as a 15 gallon iwagumi layout tank, ended up scrapping it for the lush greens .

Hopefully the java moss grows quick and doesn’t get picked away by my goldfish. No heater in tank either which I heard helps moss grow better?

Recommendations for a nicely planted 10 gallon?

Posted: 01 Dec 2019 07:06 PM PST

Just discovered this sub, and it seems great! I am starting a small freshwater tank (10g), as my first tank back into fish. I have not had any aquarium in probably 10-15 years or more, and have never tried live plants. I settled on a ten to start, before I get heavily into this. I plan on only guppies and a couple bottom feeding fish, just to round out the bio load, BUT I want live plants.

What I'm currently thinking—some floaters (Amazon frogbit) and a few rooted plants such as java moss and anubias. Can you guys recommend some more that I could use to make the guppies happy and look nice? I will be using a plant substrate/sand as well.

The cursed corner? Any tank i put in this corner, no matter water changes and everything it grows black mold.
