Is there an alternative to using Seachem Flourish Nitrogen? It has been an essential element over the past year to what you see. It’s time to order again. I also use C+, PO4, FE, flourish, excel, eqlbrim, and prime. Oh has always been steady.

Has anyone tried mixing gravel and sand for substrate?

Posted: 24 Nov 2019 10:52 PM PST

Hello, I am starting up a tank and am considering using both sand and gravel as the top layer of my substrate, but keeping them (mostly) separate. I was thinking of putting the bigger gravel substrate closer to the centerpiece rocks in my tank, and surrounding that with a similarly colored sand with some light gravel scattered throughout. Does anyone have any experience with this? Pics would be awesome
