| One of my assassins died, should I be worried about my other one dying? Posted: 22 Nov 2019 11:09 AM PST We got one assassin snail (which I named Ghostie and have previously posted a pic of him before) to help get rid of bladder snails. We ended up getting another assassin (who I named Cocoa. I will eventually post a pic of her some time when I can get a good one lol) in hopes they would breed cus we still had way too many bladder snails. They ended up avoiding each other and never interacted sadly. The other day we found Ghostie dead in the tank. When we first got him Ghostie had a crack in his shell but it was already healed, there was just a scar basically so I don't think that was the cause of death? We still have plenty of bladder snails to feed them (though a few days ago dad removed more than 300. He stopped counting when he got to 300). Our water parameters are perfect. Did Cocoa kill him maybe?? Or did our bettas kill him? I know our bettas would knock him off the glass but he would always get back up right away. I was very upset by the fact that he died. My little brother was also very upset. I'd prefer to not lose Cocoa as well. Could he have gotten sick?? Should I be worried about Cocoa? Or was this just some sort of random thing that just kinda happened? [link] [comments] |
