- Love how this is coming along
- Pretty intense perling on some new plant trimmings I got last week
- Newest! 7.5g dedicated shrimp tank. Suggestions for more low tech plants I can add?
- Spotted some baby RCS. Can you find Waldo?
- Just Flooded!
- What plant would you add to a scape like this? Montecarlo is already in.
- three months, changes in the underwater world
- No pressurized CO2 - am I doomed?
- What is this?
- CO2 regulator working pressure stuck at 80psi? Tried turning the knob counter clockwise and it fell apart and co2 blew out! FZone FZ-0100 regulator
- Would this lid allow for good light penetration? If not suggestions please
- Okay now wtf is that ?

No pressurized CO2 - am I doomed? Posted: 19 Oct 2019 04:11 AM PDT I'm dosing macros, micros and flourish excel but don't have pressurized CO2. Lights are medium strong. Will my more demanding plants outright die if I do not add any, or just grow slow? How long can I delay adding CO2? I don't mind slow growth but I want my plants to survive until I buy some. Tank consists of: Hemianthus Cuba, Micranthemum Monte Carlo, Riccardia Chamedryfolia, Marsilea Crenata, Marsilea Hirsuta, Echinodorus Grisebachii Amazonicus, Echinodorus Grisebachii Tropica, Echinodorus Kleiner Bär, Bacopa Caroliniana, Bacopa Compact, Cryptocoryne Wendtii Green, Anubias Petite, Anubias Nana Mini mini, Bucephalandra Wavy Green, Bucephalandra Mini needle [link] [comments] | ||

Would this lid allow for good light penetration? If not suggestions please Posted: 18 Oct 2019 11:46 PM PDT https://www.amazon.com/Exo-Terra-Screen-Cover-Gallon/dp/B00LH2AQJA It says "max UV penetration" but idk if that includes for underwater aquarium plants. I'm thinking of getting a finnex 24/7 light and I'm way too lazy to clean off water stains off a glass lid so I really want a mesh one.. I have a betta and 2 cats one of which is extremely determined so I have to have a lid. I saw there's a DIY kit mainly used for reef aquariums that allows 99% light through but the one I'd need is 44$ and I don't have anything that could cut metal or know how to cut metal. And I don't have a ton of extra time to DIY something that seems like I would probably mess up lol. If the one I linked is not good (I did read something about how the mesh should be clear I think?) would craft mesh work? It's that stuff a lot of people use to DIY split a betta tank. I have some in clear and I could cut it to just rest inside the rim so it doesn't look obviously awful (won't help if the cat tries to stand on it but I guess just hope she doesn't try?) its the regular hole sized but it's really easy to cut so I could make the holes slightly bigger if that would be better, that would only take me a few minutes and I'm 100% confident I wouldn't fuck that up lol. If both of those options are a no, any suggestions? I'm open to pretty much anything as long as it prevents escapes from the tank, isn't wildly expensive, allows for good light penetration (I don't want to buy a finnex for nothing) and doesn't take much upkeep from me.
