It started off with 25 but only 3 survived after having a friend feed them while I was away. 1 month later, I’m ecstatic to share my only surviving female!

I have about a dozen of these. They were just babies a few days ago. I like how their texture look like tiger stripes.

Are cherry shrimp social?

Posted: 22 Sep 2019 09:48 PM PDT

I'm new to RCS. My 20 shrimp seem to move in a single group. Sometimes they're all on a piece of wood. Sometimes they're all on the bottom of the sponge filter. Every so often during the day it's a free-for-all, and they're all swimming all over the tank.

I don't think they're social in the sense of communicating, but clearly they are in the sense that they prefer to be together most of the time. Is this a thing with RCS? Or does my tank have peculiar characteristics that make specific parts attractive at different times?

Does anyone have any experience with Australian Long Armed Shrimp? (Macrobrachium Australienese)

I've just found these l o n g b o i s but not a lot of information on them. Their parameters seem like standard for invertebrates and neos, and I was wondering if anyone had kept neos and these guys together. What little I'm reading suggests they're territorial but only to their own species. I'd welcome any information on them at all tbh. Cheers.

ADVICE! I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong my temperature is 75F, kh is 3, no nitrate no nitrite no ammonia, ph is 7.6. My endlers seem fine but the shrimp are not happy. They barely move and every few days I find another one dead. When they do swim its like they're drunk and crash into stuff.

The shrimp are really enjoying the tree in their desert tank.

2.5 Gallon Tank need help (School tank)

Posted: 22 Sep 2019 09:07 PM PDT

Hi, so this is an extremely cycled tank that I have. I was wondering how many of the blue dreams would be a good amount in this tank. I am a student and this is going to be the "class tank" that I'm making to try to get others into this great hobby. Some other tips are what is a decent/affordable 2.5-gallon tank light. As you can see the tank has lots of moss and I have some cholla wood. Unless something changes that should be all I put in there and I want a solid light that will keep the moss alive and not cause algae.
