Shrimp suppliers in Australia? Posted: 21 Sep 2019 10:15 PM PDT Hey guys, I'm looking into setting up my shrimp colony again after moving house. Unfortunately my LFS closed down and no other places sell shrimp near me. Does anyone know of any good online suppliers for Australia? Cheers. [link] [comments] | ||

Posted: 21 Sep 2019 09:54 AM PDT I've read a lot of different opinions on what snails may be best for a shrimp tank, but what do you have/like? I want to add a snail to increase the bioload and provide some extra cleaning. Plus, I've read in a few places that their waste is particularly good for shrimp (some particular bacteria present). I'm setting up a Caridina tank. This means mildly acidic (~6.3-6.5 pH) & 0KH. Is this an issue long-term for a snail? I understand the benefits of burrowing snails, particularly with substrate I don't/can't vac (Fluval Stratum) so makes sense picking up some Malaysian Trumpets, but I'd really like something more attractive, like a Mystery Snail. What colour neos should I add to my Betta tank? Posted: 21 Sep 2019 01:06 PM PDT I'm really tempted to add some shrimp to my king betta's tank soon. I have a spare tank I am going to quarantine them in, as well as maintain a secondary colony in case things don't work out in my betta tank. He's a purple betta with red highlights, and I'm torn between Bloody Mary or Blue Dream. [link] [comments] |
