Not eating ghost shrimp?

Tusk seems quite active, but won't hunt after the ghost shrimp I put in his tank. My LFS had him with other kinds of fish, so is it possible he's just not very aggressive? He doesn't tear at my java moss either. Is it safe to add roughly 5 more ghost shrimp into his ten gallon? I currently have 3. If it helps, he's a tangerine cray.
