Last Friday, I posted asking for help for a crayfish named Pinschers who got her claws stuck in a molt. I felt pretty confident she would be okay and I could just take her claws off on Monday (today) if they didn't come off naturally. Unfortunately,y co-educator found her floating at the top of the tank this morning.

A sad moment, indeed, but it was turned into something beautiful when my class decided to have a sort of burial for her. We decided to bury her in the garden. One student suggested we wrap her in a banana leaf. Another suggested we sing her a lullaby as we walked outside. Everyone unanimously agreed on Twinkle Twinkly Little Star. In the garden, we took turns digging the hole and most students picked a flower or some other kind of nature to place on top of her body.

She will be missed.
