- This is just new shell growth right? Left picture is when I first got him and right is tonight. I got him back in June, do shells grow this fast?

- My ramshorn decided to leave its shell...
- Alternative way to add calcium? Would this work?

- Is my Ramshorn dead?

Alternative way to add calcium? Would this work? Posted: 21 Sep 2019 03:03 PM PDT So I've noticed that my snail needs a little bit more calcium. I'm currently not able to get out to the store to get any cuttlebones, eggs, or any of the ordinary calcium supplements, so I was wondering if it might work to put an animal bone in the tank? The one I have specifically is a rib bone that I'm working on cleaning up (getting all meat and fat off, boiling, etc). Could this work? [link] [comments] | ||
Don’t see my snail eat directly very often? Posted: 21 Sep 2019 01:21 PM PDT I got some new fish and a snail not long ago, and while my nerite snail is healthy and the water perameters are fine for him, he's been chilling up on the walls of the aquarium pretty frequently during the day. We've got algae wafers that we feed him, and I've seen him eat before, but sometimes I'm not entirely sure. He seems healthy enough and he's active when he wants to be (though he's resting now, I think). Do nerite snails eat at night, or something? How do I know if I need to change something? Posted: 21 Sep 2019 08:39 AM PDT I found one of my Ramshorns this morning when I was giving them some broccoli it was laying down on its side and it's shell was looking greyish but the snail was visibly attached to its shell is it dead or alive? [link] [comments] |
