| Goldfish developing sac under eye? Posted: 09 Aug 2019 01:44 PM PDT My goldfish Ilyich, has always had pretty uneven eyes. I've had him for about a year, but I got him fully grown. Anyway, I just noticed this morning that his larger eye seems to be developing what looks like a fluid-filled sac. It sort of looks like he's developing a bubble-eye. To me it doesn't look much like popeye, and I would be surprised if that's what it was anyway, considering my tank params. Anyone have an idea what could be up with him? Ammonia: 0ppm Nitrite: 0ppm Nitrate: 10ppm (before water change) Heavily filtered 120 gallon with three fancy goldfish in it. Thanks! The first pic is his larger eye, you can see the sort of fluid-sac under it. The second picture is his "normal" eye (he's been blind in that eye since before I got him), and the third is a size comparison. [link] [comments] | ||
| Fish at the bottom of the tank Posted: 09 Aug 2019 03:25 PM PDT I just fed my fish a treat of brine shrimp today and I think I over did it and now both of them are sitting at the bottom of the tank. [link] [comments] | ||
| Posted: 09 Aug 2019 09:34 AM PDT I posted before about returning from a week-long vacation to some kind of outbreak in my tank: 40 g, 4 fancy goldfish, Ammonia 0, Nitrites 0, Nitrates 80 I did an immediate 30% water change and added a little bit of aquarium salt. Then I raised the temperature to 82 and started treatment with Super Ich Cure. Today the largest Oranda, my most precious baby, is looking worse than ever. She's completely covered in a layer of translucent white something, swimming weakly, bobbing around in the water, and is no longer eating. I'm not sure if there is something wrong with my water supply. I know the city was chlorinating the water a few weeks ago, but it should be over by now, and I made sure to add extra Seachem Prime. I plan on quarantining her in a 20g as soon as I get out of work and maybe doing a salt dip. Please please help me with any advice. Thank you. [link] [comments] | ||
