What an Incredibly Helpful Community

2017- present

I found a "fishbowl" at a thrift store and the next day had Franklin in my life. I was going through a really hard time and his big personality really helped me through. I never imagined what a big help this little guy could be and how little I actually knew about taking care of him.

I'm so grateful to this community for opening my eyes to all the needs of a Betta. I had assumed you feed them they live until they don't. I can't believe how wrong I was and that I hadn't given any thought to looking into it.

Now that I've finally converted to a suitably sized tank, precycled, done proper water testing, water changes, gravel vacs, and more detailed attention to feedings- I can't believe how happy my little guy is. In the past month, his color has darkened, he's making bubble nests, and prances around in a way I've never seen before.

I would have never known if not for this community. Thank you for all you do and share everyday.

*Any suggestions on what to do with the old bowl? I hate to donate it and have the same thing happen.
