Axolotl has not eaten in three weeks, help!

Posted: 15 Aug 2019 03:53 PM PDT

So one of my axolotls hasn't eaten in about three weeks. He has always been difficult when it comes to feeding, I have to hand feed him or by dropping pellets in front of him and he will catch it mid drop. If there is food on the floor/sand of the tank, he won't eat at all. However, about three weeks ago I moved him into a bigger tank and since then he has refused to eat. I have tried everything from blood worms, earthworms, pellets, etc. and everything he just doesn't even snap at. With the earthworms he even goes as far as swimming away from them when they are dangled in front of him. I am at a loss. The tank perimeters are stable, water temperature is at a cool 68-69 degrees as usual, he just won't eat. He is by himself in his tank, my other axolotl has her own tank but she eats fine with similar perimeters. Someone please help me, I don't know what else to do.

I don't think it would be impaction since he never eats off the ground, and my sand is super fine. Any ideas or recommendations?

Snail Infestation in Tank

Posted: 15 Aug 2019 03:37 PM PDT

Hey! As the title says, I have a bad snail infestation in my tank >> Every day there are dozens of the tiny buggers on the glass! I squish them as I see them, but I'm sure they're breeding faster than I can kill them. Any Axolotl-friendly snail predators I could introduce to the tank? I'd rather not do a 100% water change if I can avoid it, and I'm sure they've contaminated my filter by now >>

Moving with a axolotl.

Posted: 15 Aug 2019 04:30 PM PDT

Hopefully within the month or two I'm hoping to move and I was curious how to go about moving, moreso tank wise. I just about have my cycle finished and the only way I can really think of is having to remove almost all of the water in order to move the tank. If anyone could give me advice, id love to take it.
