New mystery snail owner, quick question... Posted: 01 Aug 2019 12:27 PM PDT Are they known to burrow? One of the four I recently got disappeared and after a bit of searching I noticed a crater in the substrate (seachem flourite). Dug into it with my finger and out popped the missing snail. Caught him a bit later making a new hole. [link] [comments] | ||
Posted: 01 Aug 2019 05:01 AM PDT Hi there, I have a 3 gallon tank with one Betta and one Ghost Shrimp that is starting to accumulate a little algae on the live plants. I thought a snail might be beneficial since the tank is too small to add any more fish. I wanted to check first with you all, though, to make sure it would be ok. I was looking into getting a purple mystery snail, but I wasn't sure how large it would get. Are there any snails that stay pretty small and that wouldn't reproduce like crazy or eat my live plants? Would a purple mystery snail be ok? Thanks for the advice! [link] [comments] |
