The new shrimp tank. For some reason algae likes this tank..... the shrimp love it more. Guess it’s a win win for everyone. Slowly been moving a group of them over from the guppy tank.

Over planted over filtered over stocked community/cherry shrimp tank. SUPER reliable. Constant shrimp babies

If I have multiple colors of shrimp will they breed?

If I have blue and red cherries will they breed and what will the offspring be like? Can I keep multiple types and colors together? Can any shrimp species coexist and not make weird colors that ruin the strain?

My little ten gallon shrimp haven is looking a little shabby, but I love it! (Anyone have any good shrimp food suggestions for babies/ breeding?)

Does anyone know if I would be able to successfully keep green jade shrimp with blue bolts? My research is suggesting that I should, but I’d like a more experienced person’s opinion before I go out and buy them.

Help diagnosing (worst week ever)

Posted: 28 Jul 2019 12:58 PM PDT

so Wednesday I added some plants to one of my tanks that had been thoroughly washed and soaked for 2 days as one plant had been treated with 0.01% Buprafezin. The following morning I woke up to about 20 dead baby's and a couple of adults, some where clearly on the way out. i immediately removed the plants that had been treated, started a continuous water change for 100% of the tanks volume and added carbon to remove anything thinking it was the pesticide. after that i only lost the ones who where in the process of being paralysed (they would be frozen in place and if they tried to move they would just flail about and soon die).

no deaths have been in that tank since Friday and no strange behaviour.

Que my second tank having the same issue despite no cross contamination that I'm aware of. woke up to about 7 dead and some paralysed, immediately did the same as the other tank continuous water change for 200% volume and added carbon but the deaths just haven't stopped. I remove the dead as soon as i see them which has been every couple of hours but by then the others have had a snack, so I'm guessing that's the vector for this problem.

at this point I have no idea what I'm dealing with, a disease, pesticide or something else.

both tanks are Remineralised RO all parameters are correct.
